The Promise

Something is happening, not just in the United States; but in the United Nations and the European Union. We are forgetting about a promise that was made thousands of years ago but that, every last letter of it, still stands until this very second. It has to do with a middle eastern nation the size of the U.S. state of New Jersey called Israel. Let’s take a further look.

Long before the U.S. Congress or the U.N. or the E.U. God made a promise with Abraham in Genesis 12:3 saying "I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you". We all know what is is to be blessed, but God used the word "curse" which in Hebrew is "'arar" meaning if a person or nation tries to belittle, despise, make a mockery of, dishonor, and bring Israel to it's knees...bottom line: GOD WILL DO THE SAME TO THAT PERSON OR NATION! the Bible and history can prove that this is a fact. let's take a quick look...

-The Egyptians: committed infanticide (killing of infants) by drowning Israelite children in the Nile; God took the Egyptians' firstborn and drowned their soldiers in the Red Sea.

-The Assyrians: overtook the northern 10 tribes and threaten Jerusalem; God sent an angel to kill 185,000 Assyrian soldiers and saved Jerusalem.

-The Babylonians (Modern Iraq): Overtook Jerusalem and burned the Temple; The Medo-Persian army destroyed Babylon the way Babylon destroyed Jerusalem (the water way).

- Persia (Modern Iran): Haman tried to kill every Jew (including Mordecai and Esther) by hanging; God allowed the conspiracy to be unveiled and Haman and his 10 sons and wife were hung on the gallows made for the killing of the Jews.

-Rome: in 70 AD burnt down Jerusalem and scattered the Jews all over; but then the Roman empire crumbles from within.

-Germany: Hitler kills 6 million Jews; but then kills himself after loosing the war in May 1945. Then that month, 3 years later, Israel was reborn.

Let's take another look at when God sealed this promise. Genesis 15:9 Abraham questions God concerning his inheritance. God then tells Abraham to take 6 types of animals and cut them in half, except the birds, and lay them on the ground on each side. Then verse 17 says that Abraham saw a smoking fire pot and flaming torch walk in between the carcasses. In those times, when someone made this type of "blood covenant", it meant that if anyone did not keep the promise, what happened to the animals would happen to them. But notice only God walked through it, not Abraham. This meant that God was giving the Land of Israel to the Jewish people back then, now, and forever; since the deal was on His integrity and last time i checked He always does what He promised to do.

There is a blessing for blessing (which we will talk about next time). This goes far beyond any politics or any human ethnicity. The fact of the matter is that if you're republican or democrat, black or white or brown or yellow, American or not; if you mess with the Jewish people and\or Israel, God promises to bring you, or the nation, or the political party to its knees. Heed and learn from the past so the future could be blessed and corrected. This anti-Semite spirit is trying to re-pick itself back up even with the so-called "squad" in the U.S. Congress. God is blessing His people and His chosen people; and it's time we do the same!
