If Their Graves Could Shout...

Go back with me about the time between the last book of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Greece began to conquer the world and have entered into the gates of Israel; especially Jerusalem. This is where we start to unravel the story. When the Greeks came in, they came under the Greek Emperor Epiphanies and by the time he grew more in power he did many negative things towards the Jews.
So what exactly happened was that a humanistic spirit, with its humanistic views, started to creep into the city. These views tried to erase the Jewish history and tried to revise it to educate the young kids how not to love their country and their history (especially being a godly history). Epiphanies went into the Holy Temple and made it for Zeus and put up a statue of him by the altar. He made it a crime to practice the Sabbath and even made it illegal to read the Torah and made them burn every Torah scroll. From the town Modi’in a man from the priestly lineage started to stand up against these things, his name was Judah Maccabi. He led a revolt against the whole Grecian army and won. After they went back to Jerusalem, reopened the Temple, and saved the Jewish culture and religion from being totally erased. This was the way the people of God, at that time, stood up for what they believed.
So you may be asking what this has to do with you, well it has a lot, let's take a deeper look at our American culture today. We are being taught in secular colleges that our HISTORY was wrong in having God and is being revised to fit the teacher’s expectations not to be taught with the truth. The Bible and prayer were taken out of schools. Here in California it’s almost getting to the point that the Bible can become ILLEGAL. Not to shame all democrats, but the leaders of that party are coming up with a bill that basically if a Christian does not cohere with what is in that bill, then you can get imprisoned. HOW DID WE GET HERE!
Well, let's take a look back. The famous line of the Declaration of Independence states “We are endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights”. This means that our God-given rights cannot be taken away. But this is what I believe they could be shouting from their graves…Yes you cannot get those rights taken away! But that means you cannot give them away because that will be the only reason why you don’t have them anymore! I believe they would be shouting "DON"T GIVE THEM AWAY; STAND FOR THEM". Notice the family of Judah was from a priestly lineage. 1st Peter 2:9 calls the church a "royal PRIESThood". As a Christian, it is our God-given, American, right to say "God Bless America" and stand for the National Anthem! It's our right to pray and read the Bible. It's our right to congregate in a house of worship. It's our right to learn our history as it was originally made; not a fake gimmick one.
But slowly, as the generations have faded and came, these truths and rights have been fading away. It's time to stand up for them again against a socialist-communist leaning society that is slowly but surely trying to take them away. How? 1)Prayer and Fasting; without God we can't do anything. 2)Stand up for justice, righteousness, and peace. 3)Vote for the person closest to the Biblical Principles (GO VOTE!). 4)Call Your Congressional leaders and tell them that you voted for them based on how they treat Israel and Bible Issues. 5)Pray for President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. It's time to stand up... just like President Reagan once said
