Last time, we ended off with a quote from IDF general Motta; which was “Well this will be the second time; and the last time”. In this last part, we will be seeing the culmination fight of all fights ever fought in human history. This fight is prophesied in Revelation 19 vs 11-21 and, hundreds of years before, in Zechariah 14.
But before we go too deep; let's create some context. So the Rapture has now just happened. The world is starting to go crazy but one man steps up to the plate. This man, the antichrist, makes a peace treaty with Israel and the Arab nations that no one has ever been able to atain. But in the middle, in 3.5 years, he breaks it and "unmasks" himself telling evreyone he is god; as it says in Daniel 9 vs. 27. this man will then go and persecute all who don't comply with his new rulership and one world religion. Then to culminate, and elevate, hismelf; he will call all the armies of the World to gather and fight against Jerualem, in a valley called Megiddo; but eventually fight against God.
This is where the fight gets lit; just like watching a boxing match. At this time, the nations of the World will go to fight against Jerusalem in Israel at the command of the antichrist. But then, all of a sudden, Jesus shows up in all His glory. When we combine John’s vision and Zechariah’s prophecy, we come to see that Jesus will descend on the Mount of Olives; just like the soldiers descended the same hill to enter Jerusalem back in 1967. Then, a sword will come out of His mouth. This is the Greek word “ekporeuetai” meaning a two edged sword is coming out. We see this even later when we learn, in Hebrews 4 vs 12, that the Word of the Lord is sharper than any 2-eged sword. So, we learn that the sword is His Word going out and judging. But there are other comming behind Him; who? well these are a mix of the Angels in Heaven; but also with the Bride of Christ as well; which is the Church; which is you and I. Then to end the fight,The antichrist (aka: the beast) and false prophet are then captured and imprisoned in the lake of fire for 1,000 years while Jesus Christ sits on the throne that was always inherently His forever.
So what can we learn from all this? well we can start by saying that the Bible says to look up and wait with expectation; but we must continue to work out what Jesus told us to do before He ascended. Also, we learn that Jesus is Faithful and True. Verse 11 names the Rider of the horse “Faithful and True”. Just think about it; Isn’t it beautiful that out of All the names that Jesus could’ve been identified as, Faithful and True are the two. This means that Jesus was back to complete everything He promised He would do. When God promises you something; His Word says that He will carefully look after it to complete it! How exciting! So get ready! Be Ready! Jesus is faithful to His promises!
